AI Open Source Radar — October 23, 2026

Collection basis: happydog-intj/ai-xiaohongshu-daily #587 (“GitHub Trending AI 早报 · 2026-10-23”, 01:00 slot, Top 7) compared with the previous day’s same-slot issue #584 (10-22), ranked by stars today (the 10-22 09:00 slot, #585, was also checked). Repos with 40k+ cumulative stars (DietrichGebert/ponytail, Graphify-Labs/graphify, supabase/supabase, luongnv89/claude-howto) were excluded regardless of growth. anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins (+303, 31.4k) was excluded as a vendor plugin directory with modest growth, and Meloong-Git/PCL (a Minecraft launcher) as non-AI. Trendshift badges could not be checked due to a stale cache (the repo is about a month old, so it is not a long-running top repo).

A coding-agent skill from Cloudflare that turns any AI coding agent with tool use and parallel subagents into a multi-phase security auditor. Its core is an adversarial verification design: isolated agents split the work, and the agent that finds a vulnerability is always separate from the one that verifies it. An audit runs in six phases:

  1. Recon: records architecture, trust boundaries and input surfaces in architecture.md and coverage-ledger.json
  2. Coverage-driven hunting: assigns isolated hunters per ledger unit, while a coverage-critic agent looks for gaps
  3. Candidate validation: a fresh validator agent tries to disprove each candidate
  4. Structured output: confirmed / needs_validation / rejected verdicts are schema-checked and written to findings.json
  5. Independent record verification: yet another agent re-checks the final source evidence
  6. Reporting: generates REPORT.md, FINDINGS-DETAIL.md and NEEDS-VALIDATION.md

It ships attack-class guides for memory safety, AI/LLM targets, web protocols and auth, supply chain, cloud, RPC, resource exhaustion, data isolation and desktop/mobile IPC, plus incremental audits that reuse prior results, likelihood × impact severity, and a mandatory OS sandbox when executing target code. Install is one line: npx skills add https://github.com/cloudflare/security-audit-skill --skill security-audit. Daily gains have grown for three days and are now close to +3,000: after PHP2Shell and the LiteLLM compromise, Storm-0940’s AI-agent-driven ConnectWise attack and OpenAI’s disclosure framework for AI-found bugs are pushing teams to audit their own code with AI first.

Practical takeaway: run it on internal repos before release and wire the machine-readable findings.json into a CI gate or automatic security tickets to add low-false-positive AI security review to your pipeline.
