Methodology: GitHub Trending bot issue happydog-intj/ai-xiaohongshu-daily #605 (morning edition for Oct 29, 02:00 slot, Top 9) compared with the previous day’s #602 (morning edition for Oct 28, Top 9). Primary metric is stars today. Repos with 40K+ total stars, long-running chart regulars, slowing repos, non-AI repos and always-large repos are excluded. Of yesterday’s four picks, only the one that kept its growth is repeated, plus one new entry.
elayadesign/ai-design-skills — +1,395 ⭐ today (new)

A growing collection of design skills for AI coding tools, where each skill lives in its own folder (skills/<name>/SKILL.md). The only skill published so far is landing-page-design, which turns the process of building a landing page from scratch into rules an agent follows. It covers:
- Intake questions to pin down goal, audience and tone before building
- Page structure (section order) and conversion-focused copywriting
- A visual system for type, spacing, radius and motion
- All design values (fonts, colors, spacing, motion) grouped in one section at the bottom of the file, so a fork can swap them easily
Install by copying the folder into .claude/skills/ for Claude Code, saving SKILL.md to .cursor/rules/ for Cursor, pasting it into AGENTS.md, .windsurfrules or .clinerules for Codex, Windsurf and Cline, or uploading it to a Claude.ai Project. A separate repo (elayadesign/redesign-skill) handles upgrading existing sites. It is a tiny repo with eight commits, but demand for anti-generic AI design skills (alongside hallmark and impeccable) pushed it into the upper half of the Top 9 within a day (9.5K on the morning of Oct 28 to 10.9K by early Oct 29).
Practical takeaway: Use it as a template when drafting marketing landing pages with an agent: swap in your team’s design tokens once and get consistent results across pages.

nightly-labs/openbot — +1,053 ⭐ today (3 days in a row)

OpenBot is a local-first desktop workspace that runs local CLIs such as Codex, Claude and Grok (plus OpenCode, Gemini, Cursor CLI and Cline via ACP) as persistent AI teammates. The Electron main process spawns provider processes over stdio/stream JSON and records everything in a SQLite event log, while a SolidJS UI talks to it over typed IPC. Team connections use WebRTC, and the account server (Cloudflare D1 and R2) only handles accounts. Key features:
- Separate sessions and workspaces per agent, with automatic context compaction
- A FIFO message queue with pause, resume and cancel that survives crashes
- Agent-to-agent messages and file handoffs, plus explicit task delegation in shared channels
- A built-in browser agents can drive, and optional Computer Use
- Remote hosting on Docker or Linux servers, an iOS app and webhook triggers
Growth has accelerated for three straight days (+312 → +794 → +1,053), crossing 1,000 stars in a day for the first time, a sign of steady demand for desktops that bundle agents from different providers into one team. Note that it is still a developer preview: agents use file, command and network permissions without confirmation, and the latest versions use a noncommercial license.
Practical takeaway: Good for internal experiments that run coding agents from several providers side by side, but check licensing before any commercial use.

Excluded: Nutlope/hallmark (+2,109, 40.4K) crossed 40K total stars. obra/superpowers (+1,096, 307.3K) and pbakaus/impeccable (+1,471, 92.2K) are over 40K. JetBrains/thinkrail (+1,075) slowed 11% from yesterday’s +1,211. makecindy/cindy (+740) slowed 49% from +1,446. macro-inc/macro (+106) had minimal growth. togg53192-cmd/jailbreaks (+1,478) is a jailbreak-prompt collection, not a practical tool.
